Race numbers
Please collect your race number, timing chip and baggage label on the day of the race. A runner other than yourself must not use your race number. It must not be cut, folded or mutilated in any way and must be fastened securely to the front of your vest or top. Please fill in the personal information required on the reverse side including relevant medical information and contact numbers to aid race staff in the event of an emergency.
Race rules
This race will be staged under UKA Rules (permit no 2009-100325) and has been graded by the British Association of Road Races (BARR) as Gold Standard. As such it meets the highest approved standards of race organisation within the UK. The course measurements have been certified as accurate (Nos SEAA 09/102 & 103) by a UKA approved course measurer. No person (except a blind runner's attendant) or animal may accompany a competitor at any point on the course. All competitors must compete on foot. Roller skates are prohibited. The course is not suitable for wheelchairs. The use of personal stereos, iPods and MP3 players are prohibited during this race and if found using one you will be asked to remove it in the interests of everyone’s safety. You will be running on the left hand side of the public highway during the race and as such we want you to be alert and aware of everything that is going on around you.
Facilities
There are changing rooms, toilets and showers for both sexes at Bungay Sports Centre. There will be a sports masseur from the SMART Clinic in Lowestoft available pre- and post-race for those weary limbs. There will be secure baggage storage facilities but please remember you must present your race number to reclaim your baggage, no race number, no return. Please be aware that your baggage is stored by us at your own risk.
First Aid
St John’s Ambulance personnel will be present at the start/finish and along the course supported by the race doctor. If you
develop medical problems please alert the nearest marshal and prompt assistance will be provided.
The Course
These are a one-lap courses on mainly rural roads. They will be clearly marked at every kilometre with three water stations and 31 marshalling points on the 20k, and one water station and 22 marshalling points on the 10k. You must run on the left at all times and obey instructions and directions of the police and race marshals.
The Finish
Please remove your timing chip; in exchange you will be given your memento and goody bag.

Car Parking
Please be aware that there is no parking on the Sports Centre site or the High School for competitors. This area will also be
closed to vehicular access once racing starts and not re-opened until the last competitor has finished.
Free parking is available at: -
1. Bungay Medical Practice.
2. Utilux/New World Music.
3. Bungay Middle School.
4. Southend Road Industrial Estate.
This will be supervised by marshals.
Pay and Display parking is also available at Wharton Street (orange arrow) and in Bungay Town Centre.
Suggested on-street parking
Please respect property entrances and allow sufficient room for access by residents and emergency vehicles.
