King’s Forest half marathon
Jules Rickards reports:
Today (Saturday), I ran this race on a beautiful route through the forest.  I was one of five Black Dogs, and lovely to see lots of friendly and familiar faces from previous events – one I’d highly recommend.  So good to be back – finish time of 2h 10m.

East Coast 10k
Alice Kirk reports:
Black Dogs were out in force running today (Sunday) at this annual race. The route had changed for this year, and finished on the Wellesley running track with two laps of the North end of the sea front. The course was well marshalled and supported. The wind was tough, but the rain stayed off. First male home was Bryon McGill in a super speedy new PB of 39.50 – Byron’s first sub 40 time so full credit to him, and first female home was Justine Fawcett in 45.44. We all got a nice tee shirt, banana and medal for our efforts.

Birmingham half marathon
Sarah Sparkes reports:
Simon, Jessica and I ran Birmingham half marathon today (Sunday).  The rain dried up, leaving a light drizzle for perfect running conditions.  Very good crowd support on route, free food and massage afterwards.  My first ever 11 mile half because due to flooding at Cannon Hill Park the route had to be changed – an enjoyable event.

Southend 10k
Karen Bircham reports:
Last week I ran this as my first official race as a Black Dog. I survived the rain as I was in the tent giving out finisher t-shirts but the course was wet, muddy and brutal.
