Ipswich Ekiden
Tony Morley reports:
The six senior and four junior BD teams were rewarded with lower temps than usual at this fabulous relay marathon event at Woodbridge school.

Amongst many stellar performances, Justine Fawcett’s team (Emma Meiring, Jo Cox, Maria Goodby, Sharron Baldwin and Jo Andrews) won the women’s super-vet category.
A special mention for Steve Neaves, who each year organises the event for our club, but was absent from the Nutty Mutts team owing to illness this week.  Full results are here (use tabs to view the various categories).

Black Mountains Trail Ultra
Jody Donaldson reports:
I travelled in Crickohowell in Wales for this event today (Sunday) . As expected it was brutal 50k with just under 6,000ft of elevation with a 10hr cut-off. It was also very beautiful. I was so happy to finish in 8:01:43. I went off course and added over a mile too as unfortunately the mountain rangers had to go out as someone was removing the signage. A fantastic event & really do recommend having a go. This was the events first year and the volunteers as always were brilliant.

Bushey 10k
Jane Pattison reports:
Flying the Black Dog flag in my other home Hertfordshire at Bushey 10k today (Sunday).  Herts is hilly and the race ended with a tough mental challenge – half a mile around the school field, going twice past the finish line.  However, to my amazement, I won my age category
