Splat Quack Go

Sarah Sparkes reports:

Splat Quack Go, Saturday 15 June, Simon and I completed a 6k lap of 45 obstacles including jumps, scramble nets, freezing swamps to wade through, one complete with plastic body parts floating.  After coming out we looked like swamp monsters and smelt like them. Tunnels to crawl through, a hillside spa of mud and water then on to a water slide before finishing with a duck shaped medal.  Really enjoyed it great fun and everybody worked together to help everyone complete the course.

Shepton Mallott Prison Marathon

Sean Symonds reports:

I ran the 26.2 green mile today. Otherwise known as the Shepton Mallott prison marathon.

Really tough event held within the prison walls up and through two wings climbing 100+ steps each lap, with 78 laps to complete. I love laps but my time inside has left me grateful it was a one off event. I have definitely been reformed and don’t intend to go back inside.

Finished in 5:27 with what felt like a PB effort.
