Alice Kirk reports:
On a grim, wet, windy (the weather really couldn’t have been any worse) day, 41 Black Dogs plus many friends came together to celebrate parkrun milestones. Home-made cake and sausage rolls went down a treat and the rain had just about finished by the time we ate them. Congratulations to Darrell Oldman for quietly finishing his 250th run today, Darrell along with Graham Sampson and Ady King were the first Black Dogs I met when I first started my parkrun journey six and a half years ago, so it was ironic for me to be celebrating my 300th run too with Darrell today. Thank you to everyone for coming in such miserable conditions.
Rachel Hirst reports:
Today (Sunday) 11 Dogs ran in this race at Wymondham – the first running of this race. The course was the same as the NYD race but it was organised by South Norfolk Council. It was well organised and the marshals were great. The weather was about perfect. The first Black Dog home was Tanya Holloway with a PB (50:53), first male home was Gus Riley, who was running his first 10k race, in a time of 55:53. I got a PB of 25 seconds for distance and 6+ min course PB. Graham Sampson pointed out that the winner (37:31) was slower than his own PB…
Justine Fawcett reports:
14 Black Dogs had a muddy, but not too muddy 11k run today (Sunday). Perfect weather conditions so a great run was had by all with first places going to myself at 52.20 (spurred on by new trail shoes) and Chris Chorley 52.58 for men’s canicross (spurred on by his dog!).
