Around and About (25th August 2019)

Malham fell race
Jo Andrews reports:
Tess and I competed in our first ever fell race today in scorching conditions. We had to run up those hills behind us in the photo which were a lot steeper than they look!  We were 1st under 14 girl and 1st lady respectively.

Cromer Carnival run
Bobbie Sauerzapf reports:
Thursday 22 August – 2 lap fell race on Cromer prom. Highly recommended if you want a fastish, uppish, weaving through tourists-ish 3 mile fun run.  Chris Chorley 20.45, Bobbie 26.05.

Lowestoft Scores race
Alice Kirk reports:
15 Black Dogs ran today (Sunday) in the mid afternoon sun at this famous race. The route goes up and down hundreds of steps and slopes off Lowestoft high street, starting with a warm up going up Links Hill!  Its 4.7 miles long, and is well known to be a challenging, difficult race. There are always lots of supporters on route, and today did not fail. First male home was Dan Gardiner in 23rd position, and first female was Jody Donaldson in 156th. We all I think strangely enjoyed it, and got a nice bespoke medal and tee shirt.
