Sixteen Bungay Black Dog Running Club members put running ahead of romance last Sunday (14 February) to embrace Norfolk Gazelles Running Club’s annual saint of love, young people and happy marriages’ Valentine’s 10k event around the lanes of Colton and Marlingford.
The first Black Dog to complete the undulating loop that started from the middle of Easton was Graham Jenvey, finishing in 16th pace overall. Bobbie Sauerzapf won the F55-59 category, Jo Cox was third among the F40-44s while Deborah Maton and Rebeccs Wass achieved personal best times.
The full Black Dog results were: 16 Graham Jenvey 37.57, 71 David Neeve 42.23, 72 Steven Neaves 42.28, 102 Chris Chorley 44.04, 109 Jo Cox 45.07, 150 Simon Sparkes 47.52, 209 Bobbie Sauerzapf 50.52, 237 Kevin Clark 52.30, 326 Rebecca Wass 58.41, 331 Clare West 59.01, 333 Mitzy O’Loughlin 59.12, 334 Sharon Cannell 59.07, 335 Deborah Maton 59.11, 372 Sarah Sparkes 1:02.52, 399 Paul Bird 1:06.09, 406 Bob Jack 1:08.13.
