Norfolk School Games Winter Finals

On Friday 10th February 2017 in cold temperatures and with the odd snow flurry Gresham’s School in Holt hosted day 2 of the Norfolk School Games Winter Finals. 600 hundred children qualified to run in this competition by taking part in the local School Sports Partnership (SSP).  Each SSP team included 80 runners made up of 10 boys and girls from each of year’s 3/4/5/6.

7 children who attend Bungay Black Dog Running Club represented South Norfolk in this competition.

In Year 6 Tessa Andrews became Norfolk School Games Winter Champion by comfortably winning her race.

Here are the other results of the athletes from the club that did themselves and their schools proud. Most of all, the support they each gave their fellow club members was outstanding.

Year 5 Girls 11th Eloise Morran

Year 5 Boys 4th Adam Robson, 12th Thomas Robson, 23rd Joe Allcock

Year 6 Girls 1st Tessa Andrews

Year 6 Boys 13th Harry Smith, 66th Freddie Cox-Hartigan
