BEGINNERS’ RUNNING AND FITNESS COURSE

Bungay Black Dog Running Club is pleased to announce that, subject to Covid-19 restrictions, we will be launching two 7-week Adult Beginner courses starting in January 2021. 

The sessions will be run on the club’s behalf by Spot on Fitness (Sue Potter) and will be held on Wednesdays from 6pm-7pm and Fridays 10am-11am.

Sue has coached and supported the club over many years and we look forward to working with her to build up our beginners’ base.

Each course will be limited to 12 athletes. The first week will offer a free taster session to participants. Sue will actively promote BBDRC throughout the course and we look forward to welcoming some new faces to club in the New Year.

Further details will be made available after the 2nd December when hopefully we will have a clearer view on latest restrictions & what we will be able to offer.

In 2020, Bungay Black Dog Running Club will again be hosting a series of six week Beginners Running and Fitness courses starting on the following dates.

18th April

12th June

4th September (Friday Mornings) 

Please check back here as more information will be available three or four weeks prior to the course starting.

The sessions are run by our club’s qualified UKA coaches and last for one hour.  We welcome adults of all ages, abilities and levels of fitness, and you are encouraged to work at your own pace.

The course takes place in a traffic-free environment on our private field at Bungay Area Running Centre (BARC), which is

located near the Maltings Pavilion, Pirnhow Street, Ditchingham.

You will learn about warming up, drills and stretches, but most importantly, you will have fun.

Adults who may have tried running as a way of getting fit but struggled on their own.

People who used to run but have had a break from running, due to families, careers etc.

People wanting to complete a personal challenge or new hobby

People trying to improve their health and fitness, lose weight, lifestyle change.

People new to the area who want to get out, explore the countryside and meet lots of slightly mad lycra clad folk.
