Graham Sampson completed the incredible 874 miles of the virtual Lands End to John O’Groats challenge (LEJOG) last Sunday. An amazing achievement.
Equally amazing were Rachel Hirst and Jules Rickards who completed the NUTS 100k in a week challenge. Made all the more impressive considering the conditions this week.
Sarah Wilby did an amazing job representing the club as a guest speaker at the England Athletics LIRF development course. She talked about her experiences as a sight impaired runner, how it has impacted her through the COVID pandemic and how she has adapted her training. She also spoke about the club and the support she receives from our guide runners.
Robin Ashe has let me know about the great support that Joanne Cox has provided reviewing our annual accounts. He’d also like to call out Les Merridale for looking after the Running Festival and Marathon accounts for many years.
Don’t forget we want to hear about your running achievements, it’s not all about speed and PBs either.
