Sue Potter has nominated Sarah Wilby as a #TopDog this week: ‘Sarah pledged to run every day in February, and has certainly done that, whatever the weather, either getting out with a guide runner, or running on her treadmill at home. A real feat of self-motivation, and worthy I think of a TopDog spot’. I absolutely agree with Sue here, we’ve had some terrible weather this month and it’s great to see Sarah and many others keeping the commitment up.
Also it’s been the Virtual Ringland Half Marathon today and I have seen many Black Dogs taking part over on Strava which has reminded me about how great each Sunday’s going to be when races get back up and running properly seeing what everyone’s up to. Being a virtual event there’ll be slight delay in the official race results being published but so far I’ve seen at least one PB from Jess Bedingfield with 2:24:07 and whilst she’s done better before Becca Kineavy gained a Strava PB of 2:18:01. I’ll do a full sweep of the results for next week. Please let me know if you did it and achieved something special.
Don’t forget we want to hear about your running achievements, it’s not all about speed and PBs either. Have you done something for the first time or something you’re proud of, email me. to feature in #TopDogs. You can also nominate others if you see or hear of an amazing achievement that should be recognised.
